Personal Development
Byron Katie, The Work

I love Byron Katie. I love the Work. I have used her methods in my life, as well as with my clients with results that have often stunned me. I can’t explain exactly why her method works so well, but it does. Let me end with the words of Erica Jong, author, Fear of Flying : “Suppose you could find a simple way to embrace your life with joy, stop arguing with reality, and achieve serenity in the midst of chaos. That is what Loving What Is offers. It is no less than a revolutionary way to live your life. The question is: are we brave enough to accept it?”

Creativity

Michelle Tocher, Awakening the Mythic Imagination
I consider Michelle, as one of Canada’s national treasures. She has a unique approach to myths and fairytales, where she takes you into the story; you become one of the characters, and go on your own personal journey. Through this process, you discover the teachings and wisdom contained in the story, enabling you to use it as a map and guide for personal transformation. Check out her website for her many books, and her workshop schedule.

Also she has an interview, and pictures of me performing with my masks. I talk about my explorations of Cinderella and how mythic writing has helped me navigate my way through grief, loss and trauma. We explore the Fairy Godmother archetype, in relationship to being a life coach. There’s also a short recording of me improvising as the Fairy Godmother, as well as Cinderella.

Health

Body Talk
This is a method of healing the body/mind that produces outstanding results, through simple tapping of points on the body. This method has also been extended to work with animals, plants and whole ecosystems. It’s an absolutely fascinating approach, and has incorporated many wisdom and health traditions into easy to learn, highly effective techniques. There’s a quick version called Body Talk Access, which you can learn in a daylong workshop. I use Body Talk access, for general health and first aid purposes. I also use it on my pet, with really good results.
