Who I Work With
Are You Running Yourself Ragged In Pursuit of All Your Passions and Interests?
I work with 21st century renaissance women and men, who are multifaceted with a wide of range of passions and interests. Some are successful visual and theater artists, musicians, and writers.
Some are holistic healers, body workers, therapists, counselors, social entrepreneurs, and activists. Others are life coaches, consultants, public speakers, publishers, teachers, nonprofit sector and community workers.
Others are gardeners, astrologers, feng shui consultants, and professional organizers. Most of them have had a surprising range of different careers, jobs and hobbies. They come from many different backgrounds, cultures, and age groups and a variety of work and career paths.
But what unites them are their values of freedom, adventure, and creativity. While they may have a home base in a particular city or town, they love the nomadic life and are always looking for ways to combine their love of travel and different cultures with their work as well as with their time off.
They have a profound respect for nature, the arts and hold deep spiritual values, along with a desire for social and economic justice. This guides the way they live their lives, and the choices they make.
They are bright, optimistic people who want make a difference in the world, and who are active in different social causes and in their communities. They profoundly desire to maximize their potential, and that of the world around them.
The Problems
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?
- How can I possibly do all the things I want to do in just one life?
- Shouldn’t I start to focus on just one thing, instead of running around in a thousand different directions?
- How can I put together my different passions into a sustainable lifestyle?
- Why can’t I just find one thing that I am really good at and stick to it?
- How can I possibly live a joyful, fulfilling life when the world is such a mess?
Does this sound like you?
I am constantly running around from activity to activity, trying to do all of the things I am passionate about. I don’t want to give up anything. They say “Follow Your Bliss”, and I am. I am doing what I love but it’s beginning to feel all too much. I’m exhausted and feel like I am about to collapse with all the stress.
If any of these situations hit home for you, you are not alone!
What I want of my clients…
Clients that have been successful overcoming these challenges have shared some common commitments and beliefs:
You believe in yourself and your ability to create a fulfilling life.
Okay, so sometimes you have doubts
But overall you have confidence in yourself and your talents. You have a faith and hope in yourself and others that allows you to make the best of what life throws at you. Instead of blaming others, or focusing on the problems you are constantly looking for what you can learn from each situation you are living.
You are creative and open to many perspectives and ways of doing things
You may or may not be great at art but you love approaching things creatively. You are full of ideas and love to explore different ways to approach problems and challenges. You are open to trying out different methods and techniques to unblock yourself in areas where you are not making the progress you want.
You are ready to take risks
You may sometimes crave security, but you are willing to dive in and try out new things, go beyond your comfort zone to get a life that is more fulfilling and juicy.
You are willing to invest the time, effort and the money in yourself
You know that it takes time to bring about real, lasting change and you are prepared to devote the time and resources to bring about the life you envision. You are a life-long learner and are constantly looking for ways to add to your knowledge and skills and ability to experience life more fully. You are prepared to take actions both big and small to put your learning into practice. You are also ready to set aside or create the financial resources necessary to reach your goals and vision.
You know that it is you that is ultimately responsible for your results
While coaching techniques and tools can bring about “magical” results, it’s up to you as to what you can create from this magic. It’s not about waving a magic wand and you are delivered to the happy and ever after. Even in the fairy tales the heroine or hero has to embark on the journey and go through many trials and obstacles to get to their destination.
You have an interest in impacting others in the world with your life.
This can take many forms: a contribution to your professional field, artistic contributions, impact on your own family and kids, impact on those in the community where you live, impact on people at your workplace as well as being part of movements for social justice and planetary change.

“Take altitude pills if you are coaching with Katie. She really gets her clients flying!”
“After returning home from Europe about 2 years ago, I had the post-traveling blues, feeling as if I had ‘nothing’ in my life. In my initial session with Catharine, she helped unlock that part of myself that was able to remember and embrace my gifts and reconnect with an earlier vision I had for my life… Her passion and support for birthing a new part of my life journey has been fundamental in my ability to move forward, and I am most grateful for all the rich gifts and new friends that have come into my life through my work and play with her. Catharine has an incredible passion for her coaching practice and her deep desire to see other people reach their fullest potential is truly an inspiration.”
